Tinderbox Survival Bushcraft
Tinderbox is part of Wessex Outdoor Training. It provides beginner, intermediate and advanced survival and bushcraft courses and/or taster sessions to either try a new experience, learn new skills, or improve and/or expand skills and knowledge held. The one and two day courses are run in a woodland environment for adults (over 18), youth groups, educational groups and individuals.
Sessions
The sessions cover the following subjects at different levels as mentioned above:
- Psychology of survival.
- Natural and man-made shelters.
- Natural and assisted fire lighting and fire lays.
- Sourcing water, filtration and purification.
- Tree and plant identification.
- UK knife and countryside law.
- Safe use of knives and axes.
- Rope work and knots.
- Camp hygiene.
- Every Day Carry (EDC) and prepping.
- Navigation and outdoor skills.
